Animes und Deutschland, das war ja immer so eine Geschichte. An und für sich waren sie schon früh fester Bestandteil unseres Fernsehangebots, in den 70ern und 80ern liefen unzählige Zeichentrickserien aus Fernost bei uns. Bis sich der Exportschlager aus Japan aber auch als solcher zu erkennen gab, Animes als eigenständige Unterhaltungsform anerkannt wurden, das dauerte. Heute haben wir es da schon besser. Nicht nur, dass sehr viel mehr Produktionen bei uns erscheinen, sie sind auch vielfältiger geworden, decken alle möglichen Genres ab, die unterschiedlichsten Zielgruppen auch. So viele sind es inzwischen, dass man als Sammler kaum noch hinterherkommt.
Wer nicht das Geld oder vielleicht auch den Platz daheim hat, um sich unzählige Serienboxen ins Regal zu stellen, der greift auf die diversen Streamingangebote zurück. Einer davon ist Anime on Demand, der euch Zugriff auf eine Reihe von Klassikern gewährt, aber auch Simulcasts anbietet. Dabei handelt es sich um Serien, die zeitgleich zu dem japanischen Fernsehen hierzulande zu sehen sind – Monate, bevor sie auf Disc erscheinen. Dazu erwerbt ihr entweder eine Lizenz zu einzelnen Titeln, wahlweise als Kauf- oder Leihfassung, oder schließt ein monatliches Abo ab, mit dem ihr über 3000 Episoden und Filme anschauen könnt. Derzeit muss AoD noch per Browser auf euren Geräten aufgerufen werfen (z.B. Notebook oder Spielekonsole), an speziellen Apps wird aber bereits gewerkelt.
